John and Marisa at the photo shop [ http://www.photocozumel.com] where we took an underwater photo lesson and rented our DX3000 underwater camera.

Looking out of our room towards the sea. Our room was very quiet, and on the seconf floor of three.

Look across our 2nd-floor balcony from our room and see the Road of Tears. I call it that because (1) it's a service road that the staff use to get work at the beach, and (2) it's also the road that Marisa got me up at 7am to run sprints on.

The walk to our room. The yellow building is the Royal area where non-peasants stay (we were peasants). Link 1

The walk from our room to first pool (not at the beach). I also call this Dragon Alley because the dragons (iguanas) liked to hang out there. Link 2

The bridge through jungle from the "main campus" to the beach area. One thing to try is to cross this shiny, brown-painted bridge barefoot in the afternoon sun. Ask Marisa, how much fun that is.

Looking across the jungle from the bridge to the beach eatery and dive shop. Dragons and bears live in that jungle.

A view of the second pool and beach from the end of the bridge. I never got over how idealic this little stretch appeared everytime we went down to the beach or to meet the dive boat.

Tanks for the dive class each morning. This is by far the most attractive classroom I've ever seen. The bonus is that right behind the camera is a constant supply of Pina Colada!

Don't steal the sand. Showers and foot rinse at the pool just above the beach. The one thing this resort needed was a gear rinse for when you get off the boat from a day of diving.

My lovely bride standing in awe at the wonderful scenery just next to the pool. I could get used to this view.

A look down the imported beach just near the pool. It wasn't quite a Corona commercial, but close enough for me.

The beach-side eatery. Ever had a freshly BBQ'd hamburger with a Corona while staring at crystal blue water along a beach? I have.
